Family Dentistry

General dentistry encompasses everything from preventive exams and restorative crowns to cosmetic enhancements and dental appliances for sleep apnea. As a family dental practice, we can provide all the general services for all ages. This makes it especially convenient for family’s because everything is under one roof. Bring your child in for sealants and senior members for denture adjustments at the same time. We also educate your whole family on what good oral health is and how it can improve your life. We love seeing multiple generations and providing insight into everyone’s dental health by tracking medical and dental history.

Preventive care is by far the most critical factor in maintaining your family’s long-term oral health. By treating your whole family, we can save you time and money on expensive, complex procedures. To ensure you have a strong foundation, we offer the following treatments for all ages:

Cleanings and Exams: Digital X-rays provide the most detailed images available so that we can detect early signs of disease or damage. Hygienic cleanings are vital to dental and gum health, and they protect the longevity of your smile.

Gum Treatment: Gums are foundational to your oral health. We provide deep cleanings through tooth scaling and root planing to eliminate gum disease and restore periodontal health.

Caring and Comprehensive Pediatric Care

We understand that a gentle and warm approach gives your child the positive associations they need to continue a lifetime of oral health care. Our team takes the time to establish this foundational step in your child’s oral care. We also make it FUN, by playing music and providing motivational prizes!

We are focused on treating the unique needs of children. Knowledge of dental development and an understanding of conditions that affect the ongoing development of your child’s smile are essential aspects of our specialized care. When visiting our practice, we carefully observe your child’s musculoskeletal growth, as it can have far-reaching implications for their oral and overall health.

Restorations to Rebuild Your Smile

As the name implies, restorations help correct damage, decay, and tooth loss. If any of your teeth are in poor condition, a restoration could make a real difference in your dental health. We have a wide variety of restorative options to help address your unique dental needs. At our office, we provide:

Fillings are a time-tested way to restore damage from decay successfully. Today’s composite colored fillings look so natural no one will even be able to tell you’ve had treatment.

Inlays and onlays are similar to fillings in that they repair teeth affected by decay but over a larger area. Inlays and onlays differ in how much tooth area they can restore.

Crowns are ceramic caps that protect teeth while restoring the structure and function. Most crowns are designed to withstand heavy occlusal loads without affecting its durability or longevity. Crowns can last up to 15 years with proper care.

Bridges are small porcelain prosthetics fashioned to replace up to three teeth, both aesthetically and functionally. Bridges use two crowns on both sides of the bridge to secure the prosthetic in place. This technique requires altering adjacent healthy teeth to stabilize the prosthetic tooth.

Dentures are acrylic and composite prosthetics designed to replace up to an entire row of teeth. Dentures can be made into partials or full options to restore any number of missing teeth. This treatment successfully restores oral form and function.

Implant restorations are custom crowns used to complete your replacement tooth. With this crown, a dental implant can restore your entire tooth down to the root. A surgically placed titanium post provides essential stimulation to the jawbone and surrounding tissue, preserving dental alignment and facial structure.

In addition to essential restorative treatments, we also provide root canals whenever there is any possibility of saving your natural tooth. When that isn’t an option, a gentle, safe extraction can relieve pain and open up options for other restorative treatments. If you grind your teeth, we provide splints and custom mouthguards to keep your new restorations and remaining dental structure intact.

Periodontal Therapy

Periodontal disease advances in four stages, gingivitis, and slight, moderate, or advanced periodontal disease. Early treatment can prevent complex problems such as tooth loss and weakened jawbones. Gum disease not only impacts your oral health, but your overall health as well. If left untreated, the bacteria can enter the bloodstream, aggravating conditions such as diabetes and heart disease.

In addition to scaling and root planing, we provide ongoing maintenance with three to four cleanings per year, depending on the stage of the disease.

Cosmetic Dentistry

If you have aesthetic issues you want to correct, there are a variety of modern treatments that can quickly and effectively give you a bright, straight, and appealing smile. Here are a few ways we can complement your natural beauty with cosmetic dentistry:

  • Zoom!® Teeth Whitening rapidly and safely lifts stains and bleaches tooth enamel with professional-strength whitening gel. In-office and at home, treatments are available and can brighten teeth by up to seven shades.
  • Tooth Bonding easily conceals and corrects minor dental issues with composite resin. This treatment is ideal for chips, cracks, and discoloration.
  • Porcelain Veneers address aesthetic issues inherent in the shape, color, size, and position of your teeth. Veneers are bonded to the fronts of teeth, covering up the cosmetic defects that can affect your self-esteem.
  • Porcelain crowns and bridges repair or replace teeth as natural-looking prosthetics. Crowns are caps protect teeth, whereas bridges replace up to three teeth in a short row.
  • Dentures are a safe and economical way to replace multiple teeth. We have years of experience treating adults and seniors with high-quality prosthetics that can improve speaking and chewing function to bring back your confidence.

Emergency Dental Care

No matter how well you take care of your teeth, a dental emergency can happen to anyone. When you contact us with a dental emergency, we are dedicated to helping you receive the care you need as quickly as possible without compromising the quality of service.

We are on-call for emergencies and make every effort to get you into our office on the same day you contact us, so your dental health receives the timely and effective care it needs. Even if you need root canal therapy to relieve pain, we’ll be there for you.
